The Mission
- The idea was to give a proper space to those "private" Instagram accounts — the ones where you only follow people you actually know in real life.
- To make that work, we had to kill discoverability. So we removed the search bar and built a simple, non-algorithmic feed.
- Now, if you want to find something new, you actually have to explore the world around you. Someone could say "touch grass".
- This is the first social that can't really have influencers.
- And the first social that is truly encrypted.
What makes it cool

Half messaging app, half social network — but without an algorithm feeding you content. Bho! works in Rooms: small private communities tied to real places. Your building, your sports club, your university floor. Post updates, share photos, send messages. Everyone inside actually knows each other.

Every message, photo, and video is locked on your device before it ever leaves it. The keys only live on your phone and are never read by our servers. It just works, invisibly. Learn how →
Meet the stranger next to you.
Bho! uses Bluetooth to detect other users nearby. Your phone is constantly broadcasting a link to your profile for anyone near.
Find rooms near you.
Open the map and look at the pins. Each one is a Room tied to a real place. Tap, get a blurred preview, request access. If the room members like you — you're in.
If you're outside, you can't get in.
Every Room has a human gatekeeper. You need someone on the inside to vouch for you, otherwise you won't get in.
Everything you post lives on your profile.
Everything you share on Bho! becomes part of your profile. Share it via QR, link, or just in person — like normal humans do.
Oh look... It's gone.
Send a view-once photo to your Room. Everyone gets one chance to see it. After that, it disappears — from the server and from every device, leaving no trace.
What Bho! is NOT
- Not a broadcast platform. No public feed, no followers, no virality.
- Not a surveillance tool. We store hashed phone numbers, never plaintext. Location is optional and tied to Rooms, not to you.
